Although only in its second year running, Aiken Charity is leaving its mark on the Horse Show calender. It's a really beautiful show grounds with beautiful rings, friendly faces and wonderful hospitality every day.
The date that it falls on the calender (very close to Devon) and the fact that week one is WCHR week, means that the quality of both horses and riders is very high, making the horse show very competitive. I love these horse shows, it makes everybody step up their game a little bit, fight harder for their results, and walk away better!
Great achievements week 1 came from Kylie, who won the USEF Pony Medal, qualifying herself for the Medal Finals at Pony Finals. Emma was second in the WIHS Pony Medal, and Remy was third overall in the WIHS Medal.
Adi finished 8th in a competitive Low Child jumper stake, jumping double clean and Lissette and Maren got good ribbons in a field of 22 in the Pre Adults! and Bri was 7th and 8th in the Bryan Jones Medal and the THIS Medal.

Week two was just as enjoyable and produced more stellar results. Bri won the Ariat medal and was also third in the Bryan Jones Medal. Mack won the 15-17 over fences and once again Lissette and Maren got ribbons in the huge Pre Adult group. Remy was fifth and sixth in the USEF Medal and the Maclay and had a beautiful trip in the Derby scoring a 74, even with a hard rub.
Emma got to show her new horse, Alabama for the very first time, even placing second, sixth, seventh and seventh in the pre child!
